OEM lithium batteries

Original Equipment Manufacturers, as European importers, are also responsible for the safety and quality of the battery. In the past, it was common practice to have the battery manufacturer fly in replacement products during the warranty period, but more sustainable solutions will soon become mandatory.

New EU legislation on repair (Right to Repair Regulation (EU) 2024/1799) and batteries (Regulation (EU) 2023/1542) sets stricter rules for importers of consumer goods. As a result, OEMs are held responsible for offering and managing repair handling in Europe. This can, for example, be arranged via an independent service partner when the original manufacturer is located outside the European Union.

Industrial Battery
Heavy-Duty Power Tools

  • In collaboration with this Dutch manufacturer of industrial drilling and cutting machines, a new battery was developed specifically for the most demanding heavy-duty tools.
  • A new battery pack was assembled using energy cells that are better suited to the high load of the machine in question.
  • Following an extensive testing phase, a new CE and UN38.3 certification process was completed.
  • Heskon remains responsible for the production and maintenance of the battery.
